Meet Emily Dotson

I was born in Charleston and I did most of my growing up in Prenter and Chapmanville in Boone County. After I graduated from Sherman High School in 2011, I took a few college courses. But I was a little bit of a wild child and back then working seemed more interesting than school. In-home caregiver, deli worker, fast food worker – I’ve had a variety of jobs and I can honestly say that lavender is the best job I’ve had so far.

I really like the family atmosphere at ABCo where I never feel like I’m just a number. It’s fun playing in the dirt and making beautiful lavender plants grow. I’m also responsible for Emily’s Garden (yes, it’s named after me) where we’re growing citronella, rosemary, spearmint and aloe vera. This spring we’ll be adding sage, pyrethrum, and vegetables to “my” garden.

When I’m not working, I stay enjoyably busy with my 5-year-old daughter, my boyfriend, and my 5 dogs.
